Remington defense M24

Value is subjective to an individual. Pay what you want for anything in the world and someone else would laugh at you. Someone else would pay ten times what you did.

I appreciate the responses and agree with each one. I was wondering how much of a collectors premium might be included in the price.

Ii wouldn’t know an exact collector premium, but probably the idea behind the pitch. People that used them and people that have replicas and old US prop stuff is the market here I’d guess. A short build list would probably come up a good chunk cheaper having a Rem 700 action cleaned up and a nice barrel put on by a competent smith. Stock and trigger might be the only part to look for if you wanted exactly what they used?

Not to me. I want a M24A2 clone with the AE30, but not interested at almost $3k starting point.

Remington could have sold a shit ton of M24 marked stripped receivers.

How many of them do we see at PRS matches?
i wish people would stop acting like PRS....or any other competitive shooting, is the end all be all for firearms evaluation.

we all know damn well that all it takes is 1 shooter to do well with an Arisaka, and that night shooters to be routing through their grandfathers war trophies for the next match.

But none of the good, or even so so shooters drop over 3k on a M24.

Right now the best thing we have to see the evolution, and what works the best for speed and getting rounds on target in a field use precision rifle is PRS

There is a reason no one rocks a M24, now people collect all sorts of stuff, to them it might be worth it for sentimental reasons, but as a tool the performance doesn’t seem to match the price tag, at least in my opinion.
