I just purchased a Remington 700P in .338 Lapua. Ths one has the brake ported in the barrel so it is not changeable. I won't be around to shoot it until July so I was wondering if anyone knew what type of recoil reduction to expect, if any? Thanks so far...

The brake is removable as stated above, with some heat the loctite used to secure the brake will loosen and you can screw it off. Here is a link to the large thread on the Remington 338LMs.

The stock brake is pretty sufficient. I shoot both 250's and 300's and have not had a problem.
