Remington standard varmint contour in a B&C Alaskan Ti stock.

A Rem Varmint translates to about a #5.5 contour. The barrel channel on the Ti stock is pretty much filled out with a #4. You could prolly get it to fit, but I'd not bother messing with relieving it to accomdate. Reason being, that rifle is gonna be dang front heavy with a Rem Varmint barrel snuggled into a Ti stock. If ya dig the stock and have the barrel already, have the barrel contour turned down to a #3 max, and enjoy shooting a more well balanced rifle...

interesting idea ... I think it could be done if you'd hog the barrel channel out. the issue is, as stated above, balance. you'd either have to chop the length way down, or reduce the contour.

how much you'd have to reduce the barrel length to get decent balance, I don't know
