Gunsmithing Remington Timney Installation?

I'll only be using this rifle for target shooting, and I prefer a light trigger for this purpose.

I wouldn't think of going hunting with a 1.5 pounder.

Do you mean Timney triggers sometimes fail this test or other 700 triggers?

Re: Remington Timney Installation?

Good question. I'm planning on installing a Timney on my Remington 700 and would love to hear what Chad thinks about it.....I thought it was just the X Mark triggers that have this problem.

Re: Remington Timney Installation?

There are quite a few safety checks that should be done with any trigger install, no matter what brand.
Especially with a 1.5 pound trigger.

I don't think Mr. Dixon was referring only to Timneys, but to all Remington trigger installations. Could be wrong on that though. Timneys are different.
