So Cal
I have an x-mark pro in an sps tactical stock and purchased a used 700P stock off SH classifieds. The stock is off of an older style trigger so of course the x-mark trigger won't fit w/o grinding the stock a little. The safety arm hits. So, instead of mucking around with this x-mark trigger any longer (it is a true POS) I'll get something new but noticing most don't come with the safety arm.

If I get an older style trigger and the safety arm separate, do I need anything else? Where is the bolt release? Need that too?

Re: Remington Trigger differences

thanks.
where is the bolt release on the old style triggers? would it come attached to jewell, rifle basix, shillen? does it work the same as the newer style?

Re: Remington Trigger differences

Some of the replacement triggers re-use the old bolt release. I don't believe they are compatible with the bolt release on the X-mark, but that would be something you need to check with the manufacturer.

As I said though, the Timney 510 is ready to roll. Safety and bolt release are in their proper locations and ready to go. All you need to do is reinstall your bolt release spring when you tap the pins in and you are ready to go. It takes less than five minutes to install a Timney 510 trigger if you have done it more than once.

The Timney will save you a world of trouble in more ways than one.

Don't fool with the X-mark trigger, there are people that seem to like them, let them buy it.
As already stated pick up a Timney trigger and be done with it, until you have a good trigger you will not really know how accurate your rifle really is.
