Hello all: I have a slight dilemma, I have a Remington XR-100, single shot, I had gotten the stock ready to full receiver bedding. I since had decided to send the receiver out to be rebarreled (same 308 Win. caliber). Now I would like to put in pillars but am not sure if I can since the receiver side of the stock has material removed for the bedding. Would it be more trouble than it is worth to get the pillars in correctly, or would it be better to forget about the pillars and just do the receiver bedding job? I'm just concerned about getting the pillar lengths correct. I ordered adjustable pillars from Brownells and was thinking maybe I could temporarily secure the screws from the bottom and the adjust the lengths at the top. Does this make any sense?
Thank you,
Larry
