Remington700P .223 missing Manufacture date stamp on barrel

I am not too sure, Why I got Missing manufacture date stamp on this Remington 700P .223 barrel,
but on the other side ,there is a stamped, magnaflux, and oval REP next to it.

Maybe it's a really light stamping and the spray paint covered it?

Action serial # will let you know when it was built

between 1999 and 2001 Remington stopped stamping barrel codes. If the serial number on your action is a D, E, F, or G prefix then you probably got one of those. Not to worry, those years a good and i would suspect you got a shooter.
