I was wondering if the removal of my brake will require me to perform another OCW test. Being that it will change the length and harmonics, I'm gonna guess YES! Does anyone have experience with this?
Sorry I didn't make myself clear, removing them and leaving them off. I have done so on another rifle and noticed a POI shift but will the OCW still be close?
It will off a tad. You're timing the node of the barrel when you do the Ocw test. Once you chsngev the node then you need to re time it, thus doing a new OCW test. It will be close though

My 300wm is the only bolt w/a break I own, and wears a break I made. It's a #7 Rock barrel bedded into a HS/P stock. The load is rock solid for the stick. I can remove the break and there is no change in POA vs POI on or off. Granted the stick may be a fluke but it does not change at all, and the break is 1.360" X 2.20 then tappers quickly to .865 My break bore is 0.318, I bored it that small as I knew the barrel threads were 0.0001 to bore ctr line
If the ctr lines are correct and the load is mid dwell time, on or off should not change poi much if at all.
