Finally ordered a REPR after months of debating.
Also got my NF scope, thanks to several people on here. 3.5-15x50 MOA.

What would you guys suggest for mounts? Badger Ultra-Highs or a Larue type mount?
I also want to mount a small red dot sight canted on the scope.
I didn't know if it's best to use the badger mount which replaces the top part of the ring, or one that's totally separate.

I hear I have to use the ultra high mounts to get the scope in the right 'position'.

Any suggestions

thanks for all the help

Re: REPR Scope Mount Questions

With the NF you can mount it directly to the rail with high rings, which is a good way to go, or I like the NF Unimount, it's a light and solid mount.

I don't think I use the ultra high rings, I believe I just use the Badger High Rings, but I don't have them here with me now to check which model they are. If you look at the videos of me with an AR10, you can see the NF mounted with the rings. Just head to Youtube or something.

Those are my two choices, the Badger or NF unimount

Re: REPR Scope Mount Questions

I was hoping I could get away with high with the 50mm.
Think the scope position would be good?
Badger suggests ultra high rings to get the scope in proper position???

What say you?

Re: REPR Scope Mount Questions

LWRC suggest the Larue mount

Called Larue they suggested the 158 with 10 MOA built in??

I will be shooting at distance so I guess my options are a badger moa base with high rings or larue 158.

I hear the 158 it just a little high for good position on the stock.,?

Re: REPR Scope Mount Questions

I have Badger Ultra Highs, they are around 1.5" and I use them for my Zeiss 72mm scope on my bolt action.

If you are mounting for an AR type guns, then the ultra highs is what you need for proper eyeposition.

The 158 is designed specifically for AR-10/DPMS 308 styled rifles. It does what it is designed to do well, as long as you don't go crazy doing and undoing the scope.
