A few years ago I bought a bunch of brass from a guy who appears to no longer be in business. I can google and find a few places that sell 300BLK that has been formed from Lake City 5.56 1x but I don't know anything about them. Does anyone on the Hide recommend anyone? I'd like to find someone who does the following:

    1. Brass is cleaned
    2. Trimmed
    3. Full Length Sized
    4. Deprimed
    5. Primer pocket swaged and spot checked
    6. Cases are spot gauged to verify they meet SAAMI specifications
    7. Annealed
I found these guys but they don't appear to anneal the brass and they don't guarantee it's all LC headstamp https://www.rockeybrass.com/300-Blackout-Processed-Brass_p_16.html

check out John Bowman's offerings at https://www.carolinabrass.net/

Although not annealed, I've been using his product for years and have had ZERO issues with it, shipping is FAST and availability has been ALWAYS, pricing is EXCELLENT. I've tried others in the beginning (circa 2011-2013) but always reverted back to John's products and use them exclusively now. I have everything needed to convert my own (and have), but using John's product is so much more convenient and actually time and money saving. I have gotten minimum 4x loading on them. I "plink" alot of 300BO :)

For accuracy oriented ammo, I reserve a fresh batch of 500 cases for the various powder/bullet/primer/CBOT combinations I've developed over the years for my specific 10.1" and 16" barrels. Because it is the "fresh" converted 1X fired LC brass, annealing isn't really needed IMHO. After the 4th reloading I just retire it, more for safety's sake, not because of functionality issues.

Brilliant, thank you very much! I just ordered a bunch as it said it was on sale. I like that is is 100% LC brass and their process:

ALL Lake City 300 BLACKOUT BRASS IS PROCESSED AS FOLLOWS:
We sell the cadillac of brass...100% Lake City NATO Military Brass.
    Deprimed- Dillon Universal Depriming Die
Lake City 300 Blackout is Trimmed- Dillon RT1500. All cases have been trimmed to no longer than 1.355 +/- .005 to fall within SAAMI specs, which will allow you to reload several times before trimming.
Lake City 300 Blackout is Sized- Forster Bench Rest 300 AAC Blackout Die
Lake City 300 Blackout is Swaged- Dillon 1050 (swage is kept on the tigher side so you don't have loose primer pockets)
Lake City 300 Blackout is Polished- Polished in Stainless Steel media for a beautiful shine inside and out.
The brass is ran by hand through our DIllon's we do not automate production, we run it and we check it as it is made to ensure quality.
Case neck and overall dimensions checked throughout processing with a Sheridan Engineering Gauge to ensure that the cases function in even the tightest SAAMI chambers, and we use digital calipers to ensure a consistent length of 1.355 +/- .005 We also batch check cases with a Swage Gauge to make sure they are not over or under swaged.

...post your observations once you have tested it out, positive or negative, always a good thing to let others know for their buying decisions.
I'm good at buying but slow at loading :D But I will try and get these done before too long, I'm running out of my 300BLK ammo so it's time to start another batch anyway. Like you, I plink a lot of 300BLK subsonic with whatever deal I can get on heavy bullets, I have 700 Hornady 225gr ELD-X factory seconds I picked up for a steal, I figure they'll do very well since my 9" SBR loves the 220gr SMK's. I was running some 190gr Nosler CC HPBT's and those ran about 90% well at my altitude, but the 208's and heavier have all been 100% cycling. I still have more 190's but due to some having cycling issues I wonder, but I also read on Carolina Brass' website that GFL brass has some issues in 300BLK and I know about 15% or so of my loads were using GFL... makes me wonder if it was the brass and not the load. I may load some of the ELD-X supersonic in case I ever get the chance to go hunting with my SBR, but we don't get many pigs here in Colorado and it's a pain to bring my SBR across state lines.

...purely for economics, my preferred plinking bullet is the Speer 125gn TNT, cheap (in 500 qty bulk), plentiful and very accurate. My locale doesn't allow suppressors so I can't speak to that, but I always hope... ;-)
I could never get the lighter bullets to cycle properly when subsonic and suppressed, but I wish I could because as you mention they are often pretty cheap
