Reset die for new brass?

Do I need to reset my FL die for new brass? I'm making a switch from remington (r-p) to lapua.

I've already backed the die back to .003 for my rifle and wondering if I need to do it again.

If you have set the full length sizing die to fit the chamber of your rifle, you should be close. You may want to fire a few rounds with the new brass and check it against your RP brass. The die should be set the same. But it never hurts to double check the settings.

This is what case guages tell the owner--whether (or not) to reset the sizing die.
