We are grieved to announce that our friend Rene Defourneaux passed away April 1, 2010. Rene was an American Patriot. He lived several great lives.
Rene was one hell of a guy. I had the pleasure of meeting and dining and drinking with him in 2007. I have read his books, and heard his stories.
The flag is at half staff and the battle horn will be blown thrice tonight. A pour of my best will be sprinkled on the ground in his honor.
Above all others, this is my favorite picture of the man. It goes to show how our country has usually made and built it's own enemies in times of conflict with others.
