Great job today , Dusty , Dave and Craig for hitting the big 500 , sorry I wasn't able to make it out to watch , #2 knee job just wasn't up to making the trip .

Great weekend and another big turn out. So the 500 barrier has been broke. Congrats to all who ventured into the 400 club for the first time and to those who shot personal bests. Not sure, but I think Jim Bragg and Chris Kirkpatrick had the top scores from Saturday, nice shooting in some variable winds guys.

Here is how it went down with the 500s on Sunday...

Hollie tore it up all day and had a 420 going into the last station (585/650). He nails 2 out of 3 20 pointers to get to 460. We were all pulling for him hard when he went to the 15's at 650. He just missed his first shot by 1/2" and nailed the next two for a new course high of 490 and received a much deserved applause and standing O from the crowd. It was an awesome moment. Next up was Dusty and myself. Dusty had 410 and I had a 415 to start the stage. Dusty nails all 3 20 pointers at 585 to get to 470. I hit 2/3 at 585 to get to 455. Dusty moves to the 650 yd target and opts to stay on the 10 pointers and cleans them to get the first ever 500 score. Now, to some, the 10 pointer might not seem too tough on a day like today, but I assure you when you are trying to do something that has not been done before, it makes for a heart pumping, reticle shaking moment. The spotters said his leg was shaking something crazy, but he hammered away and did it for 500. I went 3/3 on the 15's at 650 to get to 500. While this was going on, Craig Wickam started out his last stage at 630/700 with a 410. I wasn't there to see it, but I can only assume he nailed 3 20's at 630 and 3 10's at 700 to get the 3rd 500 score of the day, awesome shooting in a pressure situation.
