This is my first post. Happy to be here as I have looked at many posts in this forum for years, but just became a member as I just bought my first long range rifle.
I just purchased the SAKO TRG in 6.5 Creedmoor. My dream rifle for over 15 years. Went with 6.5 Creedmoor to learn all this before just jumping into a 338LM. The issue I am having is choosing the correct reticle for my glass. I am settling on the Nightforce NX8 4-32x50. I keep eyeballing the Tremor 3 and the Mil-XT. Mostly the Tremor 3. The real question here is, would the Tremor 3 be too advance for a beginner? I know this is VERY subjective, but just seeing what others had experienced with this reticle. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!

I have a Strike Eagle that has a "simplified" tree reticle, definitely not as busy as the Tremor. They can be intimidating at first but you'll eventually grow into it. I know I did. Once you zoom in enough the reticle becomes less convoluted. That's just me though! Make sure the reticle suits your needs. If you only shoot steel at your local range, maybe you could benefit from a simpler one.

Used vortex razor gen 2 with ebr2c reticle.

Tremor 3 is basically made for shooting people very fast in the current environment we are fighting wars in. IMO, it’s not a prs reticle.

I'm a beginner as well and I do better with a simple reticle and a floating center dot:

I bought the Athlon Argos BTR 10-40X56 mostly for the reticle as it was very much like the Vortex Golden Eagle which really liked the reticle on. I find the busy reticles to overwhelm me.
