I am new to the forum, but I have been reading posts for months. There is a ton of great info here. I just bought my first entry level long range gun.

I bought a Savage 10FCP (.308) with a choate stock. I also bought a Zeiss 4.5x14x50mm scope with the Rapid Z 1000 reticle. I am looking forward to learning to shoot to 800 yards and in time, beyond.

The question that I have is a bid deal for me, but perhaps it is simple and not a big deal. My scope was mounted and boresighted using a leveling kit and was done really well. The reticle inside is obviously not straight even though the gun and turrets are level.

I also learned I need a 20 moa base, since the scope only has 60 moa of travel and tops out before I can zero it.

I am $940 into the scope, from what I have read, being squared on everything is a pretty big deal. Should I take it back and get a different scope?
