Gunsmithing reusing a bedded mcmillan stock for a new action - opinions

I'm thinking about dropping a remington hunting rig into a stock bedded for my surgeon action while i send it out for a barrel replacement. I know it drops and bolts in and it seems to feed fine.

Anything to look out for here, or should this work just fine? Sorry about the day 1 question. I have gotten wildly conflicting opinions.

Don't see why it wouldn't work. If it feeds fine and you are happy with the rifle's accuracy, go for it.
