Lets say we have a load we like / use factory ammo for whatever reason.
Maybe we want to shoot 2 different loads?

What if we chopped our gun to match instead? Well maybe just a muzzle brake?
What would happen if we tuned a brake instead of our round?

Matching a round to harmonics of a barrel should be same as matching a barrel to the round.
Making a mb a tad long and then chopping it down untill it gives the group we want.
Same as testing loads as I see it.

If I had a lathe would be in process already.

How about matching a mb to the poi of your can?

I've been thinking (I know) but wouldn't any reasonable load work fine with the only thing to determine is seating depth, which is a lot easier.

I went to a lot of trouble working up a load for 25-06 whereas there is no published data for the new 131 Blackjack Ace bullet only to end up where I wanted to be to begin with and just finding the optimum seating depth. My logic being the bullet striking the gong rather than more complex interior ballistics.

    Thanks spife, once again!
I may have seen some at a range and thought they were just a brake.
Amazed my idea was not off the edge.
The adjustable tuners are much better idea than my "chop and test",
probably would have came to me eventually.

I'm currently feeding 6 different 223, and wanting a new bolt gun.
We are standardizing a 55gr load so a way to get some extra accuracy
    Between rifles would be nice.

I am guessing I could tune 1 gun between different loads as well ?
We only have the 1 223 can and on mine it improves groups.

Any suggestion on a good brand?
