Rifle Scopes REVIC PMR 428 MIL RX1

Great scope. Reticle is fine (I didn’t find it distracting at all).

With the BC built in, most times the reticle is in the back ground. I spend most focus on the cross hair/wind hold offset from the HUD.

I’ve only had a few range sessions with it TBH, but so far I have been VERY happy with it.

I’m surprised they don’t advertise it more TBH.

Exactly what I wanted to hear. I haven't seen much feedback on the mil version, seems to be plenty for the MOA. The scope seems very innovative and for the price seems to be a good value. How far out have you gone with the scope and how accurate it would you compare to other ballistic apps?

I have an original Revic and really enjoy it. I recently ordered another Revic this time with the mil RX1 reticle, really excited for it. In my opinion it’s the perfect scope for a multi caliber rifle like my Desert Tech.

I’ve only taken mine out 1/2 mile, but it’s sitting on a Valkyrie, so....

You program in offsets for the different cartridges so essentially yes. You have your “zero” cartridge and the rest are offset.

Do you typically still start with the cartridges that shoots lowest and work your way up, or do the offsets go below zero? Not sure if that makes sense, but I would rather zero with the most used cartridge rather than the lowest.

I was wondering how well they do on something like the SRS. I have a g2 razor on mine now and the l-tec turrets seem like about the best thing going for a switch barrel gun. With the markings under the turret cap I just write down where the 0 Mark needs to line up. I had intended to grab a Revic but then saw it has less travel than the razor. Mine is in a 44moa spuhr. What base are you using? I'm not sure about the mil reticle either.

Mine is in an ARC 30 moa mount.

If you notice a few post up, The King, took his 6.5 prc to a mile with his Revic. How much travel do you need?

I really like the idea of this scope and am on the fence to purchase one. I read about a couple of glitches here and there but nothing major, seemed like more firmware issues that were resolved with an update. You guys that have had sometime with them now notice any other issues with the software?

i never noticed with the original. I have updated the firmware just because, but I don’t recall issues with the original firmware. I do like the updated layout better than the original. What were the “glitches” others reported?

These scopes sound interesting. It is encouraging to read the positive comments about them, as I am considering one for down the road (when I have saved up enough money).
I also like the rifle stock that skinney_7 had in post # 9. Wondering what kind it is.

I saw one at Scheels...... seems well made but wonder why not more interest in here..Too gimmicky?

Just my opinion, but I think since the the initial release utilized a moa reticle/turrets and was marketed toward the hunting crowd we didn’t see much traction here in the Hide.

They did release a mil based version earlier this year, but the reticle wasn’t to well received.

Honestly? I think some of the matches are too contrived to allow the Revic to shine. The Revic is perfect for single target engagements or multiple, pre-ranged targets. Holdover stages and such make the Revic behave the same as a traditional scope, so most think “why bother?”.

I think high relief terrain (high angle) shooting is another thing the Revic works well in.

I hope that they do well. I love to see companies coming out with great innovations. But I, too, was puzzled by what seemed like a lack of interest here on the hide. Maybe the above comments are why.

Something I noticed whilst reading over the Revic website was that in the review section of the website the first comment states;

Aaron
"The PMR428 is a First Focal Plane rifle scope design. We will release the first model with MOA adjustments and reticle. There are several reticles and Mil adjustments planned. The PMR428 has a 34mm tube diameter and a 4.5-28 magnification range."

Based on this I see no reason why a newer MIL version with a more simplistic reticle wont be released, as for the current one I'm sure it has its advantages for a lot of people. personally I will wait.
