Reworked Hog Hunter, I like the way it looks now

Put a 16x SS on it, am converting all my non LR rifles to this scope, all MRAD
Seekins rings (first time using these, I like them)
Leather sling that used to sit on my M1a
Trued, Timed, and worked over by Kevin at Stockade Stocks
New PTG bolt head, converting all my Savages to this bolt head
Nice Brake I had laying around
CDI Bottom metal with AI 5 rd mag
Stock is a Boyds that CDI milled for the BM
Action is bedded with Devcon, the stuff that comes in a syringe (very similar to JB, different setting vs the kit from Brownells)
I tried to justify a new Mcgowan/CDI barrel but the stock barrel that came with it is as good as the other barrels I have from those guys
As I plan to use this for a ranch rifle I need to figure out how to attach a harris bipod, the current stud sits too far forward for a sling and bipod, might go with flush cups on the side for sling and use the front stud for the bipod, suggestions?


Will take it to the range in two weeks to dial in loads and post results.

Tallshot, I like the MRAD adjustments, my eyes are getting old as well as my brain, I am converting all my rifles to FFP and MRAD/Mil recticles and knobs. This will give me the detail in the glass I need for distance plus my brain does not have to do the extra function of thinking between the two systems,MOA vs MRAD, or SFP vs FFP.

Sonic it looks like the swivel will get in the way of the pod lock, am I mistaken here?

Probably would w a pod lock. Still the sling hole on the arm that grabs the sling stud of the Harris

Looks good, I like it. I just picked up a hog hunter and a swfa 3-15. Down the the road I'll be going the same route with an aftermarket stock and bm. I look forward to your range report.
