So I bought a Savage FCP-sr 10 last summer. It had a few issues, in addition to being a 1.25 MOA gun. I sent it back to Savage because the trigger was locking up when I tighted down the action screws. My thought was that most of the problems were stock related. Anyhow, they send it back 6 weeks later (same stock) and it seems to have the trigger issue solved. I put it immediately into an Oryx stock and go to the range.
It magically became a borderline 1/2 moa gun (presumably do to the chasis). But the surprise was, my loads gained 75 fps. Same components (H4350. ELD 147), same chrono (Magnetospeed). I can't imagine that they would have swapped barrels. But can't think of anything else that would have caused the increase. They never gave me any paperwork that told what was done to it.
