Rifle bag options

I'm looking for a rifle case and cent decide which one I want. I saw a multi-cam one a few weeks ago (I want to say eagle industries) that I was really interested in. I already have a hard case and now want a soft case to take to the field with me. Needs to be both a case and a mat and either multicam or tan. If you have any suggestions please let me know. Thanks!

tough thing about the combo case / mat is that your rarely satisfied with it in either capacity.

either you put stuff in pockets or even the emptied pockets that jab you when you are using it as a mat, or using it doesn't offer enough "square footage" as a mat because it also acts as a case or has seems and gussets that get caught on stuff.

question is do you realy need a case / mat combo, or can you get away with a decent smaller case, a seperate shooting mat, and maybe a backpack?

Have both and love em both. The DBBS bag is a little smaller, nice for smaller package but when shootin off of it, my elbows just barely go off the edge into the dirt. Kind of annoying, and the eagle hybrid is just an amazing bag/mat combo. This one quickly became my favorite.

The reason that I want a dual purpose bag is that for me to shoot any distance I have to take a couple mile stroll and would prefer to take with me as little as possible.

TAB has a small portable mat.

Tac ops also has a mat that is in the pocket of the drag bag.

Personally I like to keep them separate. More comfortable and larger space for the mat, and a more pockets for the bag. Plus you don't got to take all the stuff out the pockets to use the mat.

Just a heads up guys - the Tac Ops Multi-cam group Drag bag buy was extended TODAY with a few more shorts and longs, if anyone is interested?

I like my drag bag to carry two guns, I found one with a padded divider in the middle that carries my Kreb's AK47 and my .308.

i've had a hell of a time trying to find an eagle db-bs in stock. a fellow member turned me on to this bag.
