Hey guys, first post here.

I just finished installing the Rifle Basix sav-1 trigger on my savage 11 build that I'm working on, and I must say, I'm impressed. I love the accutrigger, but on my build i can't have the middle portion of the trigger or the smallest amount of overtravel at all. I was also going to put on a Boyds stock, The Ross Feather weight model. Sadly, i ordered the stagger feed model instead of the center feed stock i require for my rifle. So my question is, can someone explain how you would go about modifying the stagger feed stock to work on my rifle.
(I don't want to wait 2 weeks for a new $100 stock)
Thanks in advance guys

Re: Rifle Basix Sav-1

I would think it would be entirely too much work to get the stock to work. The center feed models action screw are 4.4in apart and the staggerfeeds are 4.27 I believe. You'd have to drill new holes for the action screws, fill the old, and probably have to modify the entire magazine inlet. Exchange it.

Re: Rifle Basix Sav-1

I didn't really care about filling in the old holes, but since the holes are recessed in the stock, I'd have to recess the new hole. I don't care about aesthetics, but modifying it will be faster than a 2 week wait. (unless i screw up) I just wish i new exactly what i would have to do in the mag inlet.

Agree, exchange it or sell the stagger feed stock. It would be a pain in the butt to convert. No pun intended.

Re: Rifle Basix Sav-1

No, it just has the blind mag, but the stock looks amazing. I don't need a magazine at all with this build, I'm fine with a single-shot. I just don't know how to recess a screw hole into the stock.

Re: Rifle Basix Sav-1

Oh, make sure you guys don't get too technical with me, I'm only 14. I do have a thorough understanding of firearms, and the rifles in my signature are MINE. not my parents, they don't like guns.

Re: Rifle Basix Sav-1

Thanks for the help. I just can't wait for the proper stock to come in. It's beyond "too beautiful to not be perfect". It's more like.... too beautiful to wait.
