Rifle Case 50 BMG

I am finally getting my ELR rifle together 50 BMG for now. I want a hard case for it, but 60” is the longest I can find. The rifle is right at 60” without a brake. I figure once I add the brake I need 63-65”. What do you guys transport your rigs in.

Speaking of muzzle brakes any suggestion?

Not sure rifle you have. I have Armalite AR50 and it fits in a Pelican when I remove the butt stock.

Can measure length if you want.

Thanks I was going to call Americase tomorrow. I would rather not take the brake off and on, not like I’ll be shooting daily or anything. I guess that’s an option.

The rifle is a McMillan in a McMillan beast stock

I’ve had the 82A1, the Tac-50 and now a DT HTI w 40” bbl.

For brake,AR50 all the way the only other one to look at is the Terminator T6

For hard case, I’d reconsider if you really want/need one

I had a $300 super long Pelican or maybe it was a Starlight - I forget the model number - for the TAC-50 (custom long barrel) and it weighed almost 30# WITHOUT the gun. Because of that, couldn’t fly with it unless I removed the bolt, bipod etc so I could make the weight limit

mic im not flying I no longer bother with hard cases. Too much weight cost and bother. I put them in a soft case like the cheap midway “sniper drag bag” and throw them into the truck and I’m off to the desert

Midway sniper drag bag also just fit my 50bmg 56" stick your muzzle out . Found 90's skb keyboard case not sure model 60" internal length 22" height need to put the seats down in my vehicle or transport in truck or van

muzzle brake tank style Armalite ar-50 way better than those shark brakes

I have an SKB for my M99 and it fits great. I like it as much as my Pelicans.
