IM HAVING A HARD TIME CHOOSING A CASE FOR MY RIFLE AND WOULD LIKE ANY INPUT IF POSSIBLE. I HAVE A REM700 WITH AXIOM STOCK AND 20” BARREL. I SET THIS UP SO IT WAS A COMPACT 1000YRD RIFLE BUT ALL THE NICE SHOOTER MAT/CASES SEEMED TO BE IN THE 48’’ RANGE AND SEEMS OVER KILL FOR WHAT I WANT. THE OVERALL LENGTH OF THE RIFLE IS ONLY 38’’ SO U CAN SEE THE DIFFERENCE. RIGHT NOW I HAVE IT IN A 42’’ DOUBLE RIFLE CASE AND CARRY A SHOOTERS MAT AND WOULD LIKE TO CARRY ALL IN ONE. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Infinity pointed out a good product, but you don't have to drop $300 on a case/mat. Just look around and find one that reasonably nice. If you can afford or want to buy the larue go for it, its obviously going to be very nice. As for the length, it doesn't matter too much if the case is too long. Plus, if you're looking for one to be a mat too, then you might not be able to find one in the exact length you want because the mat might be a little short then.
