I'm trying to find a rifle case to fit my rifle with the scope mounted on it. The scope is pretty large with a 56 mm objective. It doesn't have to be the best thing out there but I want it to at least be a hard case. Where can I find them?

Re: Rifle Case

Search for Storm, Pelican and Hardigg cases via that Google thingie. Not sure if there are any vendors on the Hide or not.

I would also look at a nice drag bag. The hard case can be a PITA sometimes. Hit up Triad Tactical for an Eagle one, he's on the Hide, but can be found again via that Google thingie.

Good luck.

I like Storm and Pelican - I don't have any experience with Hardigg but from what I read they seem to be good as well. If I had to choose between a hard or soft case I would only choose a hard case if I was flying. Hard cases take-up a lot of space and are quite heavy - even moreso than a really heavy-duty soft case.

Eagle Drag Bags are excellent, but pale in comparision to a Tac Ops Drag Bag. The TO DBs' have construction equal to the Eagle but with much better features including, but not limited to:

- Padded Exterior Suppressor Pocket (Fastex-Buckle secured)
- Stow-Away Shooting Mat (stores in a pocket on back of the bag)
- Built-in hydration bladder pocket (hydration bladder pocket is located inside of large muzzle end exterior pocket)
- Removable "Muzzle Cap"

Take a look some of the photos and features of the Tac Ops Gen 5 bag in <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">rem_.308</span></span>'s <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">TacOps Drag Bag 5th Gen Pic Heavy</span></span> thread and you'll begin to get an idea of why the TO bag kicks ass.

Theres' also a <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">Tac Ops Drag Bag Group Buy</span></span> going on right now. The Gen 5 is what you will receive and is the same as seen in <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">rem_.308</span></span>'s thread. Best price you'll ever get on a new Tac Ops Drag Bag - the OD bags are usually around $300.00 for the "Short" bag and $325.00 for the "Long" bag.

If you want to read some comments from someone who had a hard case and switched to a soft case, read <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">Paulus</span></span>' comments in his <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">TacOps Gen 5 Drag Bag</span></span> thread.
