Please educate me on the different ways of mounting a scope!

is there any practical difference in using the leupold QR or the QRW rings with a picatinny rail?

If choosing a QRW and rail solution, which rail to choose?

thanks

Re: Rifle mount question

Id say NF or Badger Ordnance Rings and base If your looking to shoot fast 300 yards I suggest a 20 MOA base.

And to mount your scope Id say check out Youtube CS Tacticals 2 part video is a good video. But if you don't have the tools go to your local gunsmith.

Re: Rifle mount question

BTW this should be in the Optics forum.

Probably get more hits there as well.

Re: Rifle mount question

Thanks. please anyone. feel free to move the thread to optics.

I am mostly gonna use the rifle for hunting. probably most shots between 50-200 yards. I would like to be able to go out to about 500 yards for paper and training.

Will I have any difficultys with zeroing the scope if i use a 20 MOA base?
Am i better of with a straight one?
