Is the focus on a pair of binoculars the same as the side focus on a rifle scope? I realize binoculars don't have a reticle (well a few do, but leave those out). They do have a focus. Is that the same as the side focus in terms of what the internal optics and so forth are doing? Or do binoculars work differently?

Re: Rifle Scopes vs Binoculars

I am not 100% on this but I would say adjusting paralax on a scope would be nearly the same as adjusting it on a pair of bino's. The clearing up of an image via an adjustment knob on the side of a scope or top of a pair of binos would in my opinion work in the same manner. Both have optical lenses that are being moved either in or out to adjust for distance.
