I made one using the cam buckle. It's basically a clone of my VTAC sling. It cost me about $13 to make.

If I can’t find what I’m specifically looking for then, yes I’ll make what I can’t find. I got most of my experience with nylon webbing customizing dive gear.

The homemade vtac is pretty easy and good, felt guilty i did it so i bought one too to support the company ?

I made a quick adjust sling from parts of an old 3-point sling, an ALICE pack strap, and some 1" webbing from the local backpacking store. It certainly worked but it wasn't the same quality as a VTAC.
