Shopping for a pack to carry my rifle, tripod, caller and other crap. Mainly for varmint hunting. Been eyeballing the gunslinger 2. Any other suggestions or advice?

I have a few packs, some better than others, but my most robust pack is a Kifaru (which I love). It can just barely carry a tripod in one of the side pockets, depending on whats in the pack.

It’s has a couple of handle things on the side of mine that I slide it right into. Not ideal but it works.
On your gs2? Does it hold pretty secure and easy to get it on and off the pack?
It’s not going anywhere if that’s what you are asking. Super easy to take it off it slides right out.
I have had the Gunslinger 2 and i sold it to get a G3 Phantom. For what you’re describing I would prefer the phantom over the GS2 simply because of the number of straps. The GS2 has two compression straps that go from one side to the other as well as two straps that secure the lid. It’s too much to undo to get into the pack. I do think the GS2 would hold a tripod more securely because of the way the compression straps are. But the phantom has side pouches that can hold some tripods fully enclosed.
Oddly enough I am now going to move the phantom along because I don’t need quick access as much as the room that the storm collar and lid allowed for. I also just feel the GS2 is better to carry because everything can be pulled tight and doesn’t shift as much.

Before you posted I ordered a g2 and chest bino pack. This will be my first quality pack. I’m excited to get it
I am looking for something that will attach to the tripod to haul gear. I just shoulder my tripod when walking from stand to stand.
