rifling twist

I just ordered a Steyr pro-hunter big bore in 450 marlin,
this rifle has a 1 in 14 inche twist with 6 grooves
I would like to know if this twist is better or equal to the regular 1 in 20 twist usually found in this caliber
I shoot heavy bullets in the 500 and up range in my understanding this is ok for this twist but what about the 300 to 500 range of bullets

They extra twist is not the best thing for accuracy for the lighter bullets but it just depends on the rifle that you have. Shoot them and find out. I have seen some rifles with heavy twist love the lighter bullets.

will be shooting mostly real heavy bullets anyway
by the way I am a cast bullets shooters and on this rifle I will be mounting a nightforce 2.5-10x32 with NPR-2 reticle in MOA adjustments... should receive it soon
in a way its a modern Quigly for long range....
