Rim-x MCR

Yesterday my Rim-X conversion from MCR arrived. I got her put back into its chassis and headed to the range. Johnathan did a great job! The rifle now sports a 25” MW 13 twist. He also spun up a Bartlein CF in 16 twist for it, just incase I get the itch to use it for hunting. Target is the first 50 shots at 50 yards. I think its gonna do just fine.

Do you get the ModX bolt?

Edit nvm I can see the extractor cut. How do you like the bolt mod so far compared to before? I have one on order.

I’m waiting on a new muller works barrel to arrive next week from Jonathan. I have two ModX rimx’s, and couldn’t be happier. He makes very accurate rifles. I think 4 of the top 8 at the NRL22 National Championship were his builds.

The Muller Works barrel that Jonathan is working for me will have the Eley specific chamber. He showed some really incredible results a while back that really got me excited. I’ve got a couple of cases of Eley match that are known performers in a couple of my other rifles, and I’m looking forward to showing what this proven system can do.

Have you shot anything other than R50 through yours? I won an Anshutz a while back that came with a brick of it, and it shot incredible while it lasted. . Then unobtanium after that.

@Masojoh yes as a matter of fact I shot some Centerx and Lapua Long Range yesterday through it. Almost identical results at 50 yards. The Long Range and the R50 were giving me just under .5” groups at 100. Luckily I have a case of each of the Lapua. I only have 6 bricks of the R50. I had Johnathan cut it for the Lapua since I haven't any Eley.
