I'm looking at the strike eagle and midas Tac 6x24 for a Bergara b14r. Between the 2 which one is best? Vortex appears best on paper but I've noticed many prefer the Midas Tac. Should I be looking at anything else at around this price range (Arken, Sightron, Bushnell, etc)? Thanks for any helpful info, suggestions, etc.

I have also been looking at the same scopes for my rimfire. I have handled both and I am leaning towards the Midas Tac.

It is a 30mm scope, but will easily get you out to 300 and beyond. The SE is 34mm and it may have a slightly better eye box as a result. I like the turrets better on the Midas Tac as I think they are more distinct and precise. I also think the glass may be a tad brighter on the Midas Tac too, as I have found it to be up there with the PST Gen 2's I have.

I have read good things about the Arken, but you have to be ready for a long wait to get one. The 5-25x56 Midas Tac is supposed to be good too. It is getting up there in price though and I think the 6-24x50 may be the value sweet spot for me.

Everyone's eyes and perception of quality are different, so try to look through each if you can. I know that can be tough or impossible, but whats on paper may not be what you actually see through the scopes.
