Rimfire Purchase update

I walked out of my gun store with a used 15-22 this afternoon. I liked how it felt better than the other options and I figured that getting used to a AR 15 type was time better spent than a mp-5. Does anyone have a range of serial numbers for the guns with problems? I hope the gun works good, but if it doesn't I'll send it back to Smith and Wesson which seems to fix most if not all the problems. I've had bits and pieces of trouble with most of my 22's(P22 especially), but I'm not opposed to learning and trying to fix most things. You fellas that have this gun, what should I be looking for as problems other than the FTE that may occur once I get to fire it. It has the flashhider which some said was a later version.

IMO... Go shoot it and see what happens. Don't plan on having problems. If it doesn't work then worry about it.

I had the broken extractor issue with mine and it is one the the ones w/the flashhider. Smith took care of it with no problems took about a week after Fed Ex picked it up and they sent a free mag back with the gun for the hassle.

I had the extractor break out on mine second trip to range about 6 months ago. Fed Ex back to S&W and same as neo got a free mag and no probs since. Fired well over a thousand since with no hiccups. I have found that I got alot of FTE and jams when I used Winchester Super X so all I pretty much use is CCI Minimags. I really like it and its alot of fun.

Sorry, I forgot about this post. I had a ton of problems with the gun and looked up the fix video on youtube. The video on says to bend the ejector horizontaly, but I tweaked it up some too when horizontal didn't help anything. The gun now has over 1000 rounds of federal through it just since I got it and it is flawless. Not one problem after I tweaked it.
