Rimfire Rifle Photos Thread

Love my Vudoo 22. Complete copy of my match rifle for a trainer. 24” 1.20” straight shank barrel.

Look excellent. Now I need someone to stick one in a XLR Element chassis to see how difficult that would be. I really want a T1X to match my .308.
Man, I'd love to get my MKII into an Element. I've got my .308 shorty in an Element and would be ecstatic to have an trainer for it.

CZ 455 Varmint in a Boyd's Pro Varmint I bought from EddieE. He had DJ pillar bed it and reinforce the fore end. Scope is a Vortex Viper PST Gen 1 2.5-10x32 in Seekins medium high rings on a DIP 25 MOA rail. The gun deserves more magnification, but it's otherwise great. I want to do some NRL22 with it next year.

Where did you find an AI chassis for Tikka? I browsed the AI website, and googled, and found nothing.
They don't - they should.
That one has been modified, its possible to do, just have to make a new front recoil lug in the chassis and drill a front action screw hole. I've done it with an AI AX rem700 chassis which my tikka now sits in. Awesome trainer though @kedbeck just needs a better handle on it ;)

Here is my factory built Volquartsen VM22, with Victor Titan stock at my club's .22 shoot for the first time. lol note the terrible bench accessories :) Needless to say I didn't fare well with the array on Anschutz rifles but its a lot of fun to shoot. I just called in to order a Tika T1x, and am wonderin what action to order for the KRG whiskey chassis? If anyone has any idea I'd appreciate it.

@rob203 as is, all of the krg tikka stocks are a no go currently, if you have access to a milling machine they can be modified to work, see my posts in the T1x thread for details.

I'd love to get my hands on one of the Tikka T1xs - preferably just a bbl'd action, though I'm fairly sure Tikka has no plans on selling them that way. I need to talk with Robert Brantly at Manners to see which - if any - of their stocks can easily be made to work with the T1x.

Any T3 / T3X stock will work. Some Scheel's Sporting Goods locations had some in-stock last week and will ship to your FFL.

This rifle started life as a 1710 D HB. As shown, it has been upgraded in three major ways: (1). Joe “The Stock Doc” Ducos installed a KMW Loggerhead ACP and two QD flush cups. Masterful work as always; (2). ANA replaced trigger with 5109 2-stage trigger;(3). Murphy Precision 20 MOA steel Picatinny rail.

Flush cup on forend replaced sling stud. Geometry of buttstock bottom too small for flush cup so Joe mounted on the side. Removed rear sling stud so could use bag as rear support although primary support system will be front bag-shoulder +/- sling support.

Weight of rifle with empty magazine but neither scope nor sling is 8.45 lb.

Both are savage MKii FV-SR rifles with Tract Toric HD optics. One is in a Boyd’s stock that I painted and the other is in an MDT LSS22. I just mounted to one in the chassis and am still waiting on the carbine to fixed stock adapter.

I'm just getting the first 500 rounds through a new RAR Target and very happy with results/accuracy so far. I'm not too concerned at this point with what is the best ammo to feed it - doing de-bugging and set up right now. I think long term it'll be my go-to rim fire, though. The CCI S. V. ammo is doing real well for me so far. I did replace the trigger spring with an ink pen spring and that really helped lighten the pull - down to 1 1/4#.View attachment 6954314
I have a skinny barrel American that is my squirrel rifle. It started as an 18” threaded in the regular plastic stock. I slicked the bolt and mag, bedded it in the stock with aluminum tape and had the barrel shortened and rethreaded/crowned. I did a Bic pen spring and the trigger is a really crisp 1lb on my Wheeler gauge, with the safety blade still in place. It wears a Bushnell fixed 4x (now on a 20moa rail with good rings) and it defies all logic how well it shoots.

I don’t shoot it really for recreation much but when I was getting it broken in and finding which loads it likes, it has printed tons of groups under .2 and a best of .116 at 25 yards with Eley Contact.

It pops squirrel heads with boring regularity. My regular load is an old lot of PMC Moderator and I also use Eley Subsonic Hollow or Contact.

It really is a favorite, I know some people have had issues but this one is great for a factory Ruger skinny barrel.

While it couldn’t be called a precision rifle, my favorite is my dad’s early Springfield. It was the first rifle I ever fired and I have used it since I was a boy. He passed when I was 19 in 1990. It still feels so good in my hands and will still shoot as true as you can hold.
