Rimfire Rifle Photos Thread

1903 Low Serial Number receiver with custom insert for M22 mags, M2 bolt.

Douglas Barrel, 16 twist
Timney 1903 trigger group
Minelli S.P.A Walnut stock w/USGI Hardware - final inletting bedding done with barreled action
Earle mounts

scope was a loaner, but will wear a 16 or 20x 1.5" calibrated head Unertl.

Lots of hand fitting and adjusting to get it right. This is no ISO9000 affair, but I love it. Only 7 of these are being made, split between single shot.

That's cool as hell man!

How does she shoot?

Tim said it holds an inch with SK standard. I haven't shot it yet. He work on it an extra week to get the firing mechanism consistant. I cannot wait to get my own scope and get it on the range.

Here it is with the oil getting layered.

My CZ 455 just landed. Varmint PT 16.5"
Thinking Vortex PST Gen 2 scope for this one. Also thinking of changing the stock up a little. Maybe brown base instead of green, with black, tan and white for camo... Just so it's a little more unique.

Well, the day after I got the CZ 455 I decided to work on the paint job. I love the stock, hated the look... So I went with a brown camo base (flat brown rusto) and dabbed some tan, black, white, grey and brown/orange on top... followed by 3 coats of matte clear (it's a little reflective, but at the range I don't have to worry about actually being camouflaged)

Beware of ukulele cases at Burning Man, Man.

Ruger 10/22 Takedown in a Magpul backpacker stock inside a cheap eBay case. Buttstock holds a couple magazines or a mag and a 50 box of ammo. I don't use it much but I like it for what it is. Magpul's mass market engineering continues to impress me. Ruger continues to unimpress me but I'll be damned if I'll spend $1500 on a 10/22. (I did upgrade the trigger and shock buff thing.)

Would love to find a convenient way to put a fiber optic sight up front but so far everything seems like a PITA. It's a fun plinker and when the Zombiocrats take over I can hunt wabbits.

I have a 40X from CMP, PT&G bolt, and AICS stock + suppressor. Wolf match ammo has been a good round for this setup. I've since changed the Harris bipod out for an Atlas.

I've seen this rifle before. Probably THE sexiest rifle I've ever laid eyes on.

SWFA 10x is a great fit. Awesome reticle, priced right, rugged, track well, have tons of travel and take a zero stop.

Here's mine. Ruger 77/22, Boyds Tacticool laminate, StraightJacket barrel system, Nikon 4-12, added flush cups (pretty sure I found the idea here), badger bolt knob, bolt shim, tuned trigger. Shoots like a dream

Sweet sticks in this thread.

Savage FVSR in my home brew chassis. Rail was nordic small diameter in the pic, but it wears a carbon fiber tube now. Ya know, cause the carbon fiber makes me shoot better, lol.

Finally get to post a new pic of my newest CZ. One pic is my older ones, Tacticool is gone now, but the new one in the X-ray was just finished up today with new rings. Just need all the rain to stop and new ammo test lots to arrive.

Ruger receiver ... everything else mechanical is from Kidd including 18" stainless barrel. Two stage trigger is simply amazing. Scope is an Athlon Ares BTR in Seekins rings. Aerosol DuraCoat OD green on all metal. Chassis is the new McRees. Shoots amazing and runs 100%. Group pic is at 100 yards ... no wind this morning so it went really well. I have a tricked out CZ 455 with a Lilja barrel too and this thing easily shoots as well.

Here's my CZ 452 22lr. After installing Cronus 4.5-29x56 on EGW HD 20 moa with 34mm Seekings low rings I couldn't see through the scope without raising my cheek off the stock so I've installed LRI's cheek riser (found in classifieds) to remedy the problem. It turned out great for a garage hack and a 1/2 days work.

How did you cut the stock ?

Hi,
This is my first serious rimfire rifle, an Anschuetz 1416 with beavertail stock.
18" threaded barrel. One thing to note here is that Anschuetz is resessing the actual muzzle by about 1/2" so that the thinner material where the thread is cut does not have any negative effect on the muzzle. Also it is well protected of course.
It just arrived yesterday and I mounted the Kahles 3-12x50 with MSR reticle (focuses down to 25m), the A-tec CMM4 suppressor and my Sinclair bipod.
The ammunition test (from benchrest block) found a lot of RWS Rifle Match that shot very well. The test group of 5 at 50m is the one in the corner.
10 shot groups were a bit bigger of course, but the rifle seems to be good. The match trigger is exceptionally well for a rimfire (or any rifle) and breaks at about 10oz.
It feeds from a 10 round magazine.
I am planing to make the rifle a bit more comfortable. Adjustable cheek piece and an arca rail with a Harris, as well as a sling should be the next steps.
Looking forward to the first 50 and 100 m range session.

Moose,

The EH1 put the V-22 over the top. Balance and handling is unbelievably good. Cheek weld was vastly improved over the Gayboe A5 and it dropped almost two pounds.

The SWFA's are giant killers.

Thanks for the info on the EH-1,I will be calling manners up to order one.I agree with you on the swfa scopes.Big Stick over at asrealasitgets turned me onto them.I now have a 10X, 1x4, and an 6x on the way to my house. The reticle and the elevation adjustment is outstanding.

little ruger 10/22 with an axium stock and busnell scope...nail driver.

Pic didnt post. Did a really nice trigger job on it, home made. Has about a 2lb 0 slop pull. Did it for about a buck.

Moose,

I think I'm over half dozen of the 6's and 10's. Not really a fan of the 1-4.

Nobody has a better reticle than the Milquad quite honestly.

The reticle is simple and easy to work with, like it a lot.Im using these scopes on a couple of 10/22 rifles and 0 to 100 yds the 1x4 works great for me.I had the 6x out this week shooting at 300 yds and I was banging the shit out of a 10" plate.I have a Kidd 10/22 on the way and i will put the 10x on it and take it out to 400 yds.I seen your rifle over on asrealasitgets, Im loving that stock.

Here's an integrally suppressed 10/22 with no Ruger parts except the clear mags. Titan stock, Kidd action (receiver, bolt, 1stg. trigger, all of it) "FF" Liberty/Green Mountain match barrel, ~4" w/~12" monocore being suppressor. Can't tell it's suppressed but the hexagonal "bore" looks fishy; it's painted with a tough, high heat ceramic paint. Vortex Viper PST 1-4x, USO adj. windage rings (they fit and I had 'em). Lower end Harris bipod and narrow copy of a 1903 shooting sling w/military grade sling swivels. I'm satisfied with pretty much everything about this rifle, it's everything a Ruger isn't, what a 10/22 SHOULD be. Everything is quality here, Kidd makes an awesome action and guts, the Titan stock feels just as amazing and the price was spot on, the optic and rings sorta speak for themselves.

So far it's been pretty accurate, it's at least 1MOA; it shoots a ragged hole at 25m and that's as far as I've shot it yet. Single stage trigger is crisp and fast too and the tang on the receiver prevents it from moving in the stock. Suppressor is spooky quiet, by far my most silent weapon. The 6" thread on Regulator is really nice but this is still quieter. All of it's well made. The action is much smoother than a Ruger action and quieter too. Makes a click and the bullet hitting the target is the loudest part of the shot. Amazingly fun. Digests pretty much whatever I feed it, but so far the Geco bolt gun ammo has been quietest and most accurate.

I'm afraid my Ruger SBR folder will never get used again if I don't put some work into it, including a trigger!
