I am in need of a scope for a rimfire trainer type rifle. I currently shoot a PMII P4F CCW MIL MIL on my centerfire and want to match as close a poss for the 22lr. I am thinking the Vortex Viper PST with the EBR-1 in MIL MIL FFP 4-16x50 will be the ticket, but does anyone have any other ideas for similar scops I should look at before ordering the Viper. Also to any Viper users any reason not to get the Viper, I just dont have the $ for a second Bender. By the way I have a NF 5.5-22x56 mil-dot MIL MIL on my other rifle and could use a mil-dot for the trainer but I like the EBR-1/P4F style better. Thanks in advance for any help.

I did the same and have been very pleased with the Weaver.

I don't use Mil/Mil on my trainer - mine is Mil/MOA (Super Sniper 16X). I have found that for my "training" purposes; I generally work more with the hold offs rather than turret operation.

On my centerfire (NF NXS 2nd FP) I generally use hold offs through the scope out to around 700 anyway before touching the turrets.

Your needs may require other parameters.
