I have a set of low xtr burris rings on my gun now. With the Ken F. 20 moa base, my 50 mm bell clears the barrel well. I recently purchased a s&b 5-25x56 and it is 34mm tube. What are my chances of being able to get away with LOW RINGS in 34mm? any recommendations on brand?

I would like to try to keep the rings from leaving marks on my scope if possible. I do not think my local gun smith has a 34mm lapping bar though.

Any help on the subject or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you very Much! It says I need a High ring for S&B. I am hoping i can squeeze by with a set of Low 34mm rings by B.O. with the 20 moa Ken Ferrall rail. That rail tends to stand up higher than most.

I can get by with lower rings on my rigs that have the 20 moa Farrell bases. I would think you'd be in good shape.

Re: Ring height comparision

Good to know! I had a good amount of space between the barrel and the scope bell with my mark 4. It only had a 50mm bell though. I was not sure if the 34mm tube on the s&b would make it sit any lower and it has a 56mm bell. I am hoping it will come out perfect!
