Hey guys,

My mate has a tikka t3 varmint, and is going to get a HD rail from EGW.

I'm just a little unsure as to which ring heights he should get to keep a 50mm objective off the barrel.

they offer the rings in heights:
.850 inches high, .990 inches high, and 1.275" high

any advice?

cheers

1", 30mm, 34mm or 35mm scope? If you measure scope rings from base to bottom of ring it doesn't matter.

I use Seekins Med/High's (.920) on my Tikka with a Falcon (44mm obj.) mounted on a EGW 20moa base. There is approx. 320" clearance from obj. to chamber. They are unnecessarily high, but I was trying to get that huge windage knob out of the way of flying brass. Finally turned the damn thing down.

I would think that the .850 rings would work, if it's a 30mm scope. I had Burris XTR low's on before, and they cleared both a 50mm and a 44mm.
