I changed forearms on my AR and not the objective just touches the top rail. It touches just enough to make it too difficult to turn the objective focus. I think rather then go on the hunt for even taller rings I should just try a riser and short rings. Will any riser work or do I need a canted riser? Id like to sight it at 200 yds and 500 oor so max range.

Sorry if the terms are wrong or if you need more info. Im new to the long range game.

Re: Riser for an AR?

riser will work, for 500 yards with most scopes no cant is needed, Brownells has a versatile two piece riser system. but it is probably cheaper, easier, lighter and cleaner looking to just go up a ring height
