Is there a Ritter & Stark rep on this site? I'm just chasing some information as to whether the SX-1 is going to be offered in 300 Norma Magnum before year's end?

I was wondering the same thing. Eurooptic has some killer deals on them right now. Is there anyone else in the US supporting them?

I'm in Aus and due to my state deciding that the DTA is too scary, and a folding stock on a rifle with a long arse barrel is still somehow too concealable, it's come down to the SX-1 and an AI.

Hello- I am the U.S. Sales Director for Ritter & Stark. You can contact me on my email at [email protected] should you have any questions. We are hoping to have the .300 and .338 Norma by the end of the year. Take care!

Hi Nathan, I was the one that called you yesterday. Thanks again btw for answering at your bbq! I did get my rifle ordered yesterday and will be contacting you this week as soon as it arrives regarding the mag adapters.

Best Regards,

Todd

Received my rifle and barrel kits yesterday. Got the rifle in .308 and added the .300 win mag and .338 lapua barrels. The machining and tolerances on this are impeccable. I was very impressed when first inspecting it. I have to turn the barrel threads from m18x1 to 5/8-24 for my cans before I do any load work up. I'm going to machine the arca swiss dovetail into the barricade plate as well so I can mount it to my RRS tripod. I'll check back with updates when I get that stuff done.

What kind of accuracy have you gotten with it? Based upon what you wrote it sounds like they are made using the metric measuring system. How compatible are they with the American products?

Update: I finally finished turning the barrel threads down to 5/8-11 on the 308 and 300 barrels. I left the 338 M18X1 and ordered a new TBAC 338 can with the M18X1 brake. Here are some pics of the 5 shot groups I got this morning:

I was just fire forming the 338 lapua today, but it looks like it's going to shoot as well as these did!

Here a couple pics from the range:

ERA-TAC quick throw mount has been super reliable for switching between barrels!!

All in all, I've been very satisfied with the rifle. The only negative was the heavier bolt lift, but with a little deburring and lube it's like butter now!

They have filed for bankruptcy I heard. Glad I got one before this all went down! This rifle has become one of my favorites. Hopefully someone will bring them back to life.

It is correct about insolvency however there are buyers looking to secure the company. Fingers crossed!
