Not having great success with grouping in my 6mm Dasher and considering RL 15. I’ve read on forums this is very stable, not stable at all, and everywhere in between. Please comment if u have experience with this powder vs the varget. Thanks guys!!!

I’ve been using RL15 in 308, 42.0 grains, CcI BR2 primer, 175 SMK for years and the velocity changes approximately 1.2 FPS per degree of temp change. I put that approximation into my Kestrel Elite and it works very well

just a couple of weeks ago i was using RL-15 to fire form and wondered the same thing...ammo outside in about 28-30deg put one in my heater vent with the heater going for 5 mins the spread was 115fps so its far from stable so if you can not keep your ammo near the temps you did your load development in its probably not going to work out so well.

Some powders like ball powders are more temp sensitive than RL-15, in my experience, RL-15 is probably in the middle range of temp sensitivity. What I like about it is it's really accurate in both 223 and 308 and it's temp sensitivity is reasonably easy to predict and adjust for. It also runs through a powder measure pretty well. I loaded up 1000 rounds of 223 progressively through my Dillon 550 using a Hornady powder measure and when I chronographed 10 rounds the SD for the string was 4 and the extreme spread was 12.
