Rl17 for alternative powder for 6.5cm

Hey guys, usually like the varget or h4350 for 6.5cm. Just about out. Local place has 16# rl17 in stock anybody have any luck? He’s got it put aside for me. Grab it? Keep trying to get the unobtanium. I found a small thread in here about rl17 for 6.5 and looked like extremely temp sensitive.

It is a bit temp sensitive but will certainly work.

I've used it in lieu of N550 for the 136-144gr class of bullets. It's known for temp sensitivity, but I didn't log any excessive temp swings though my local temp range is quite narrow.

It's not that sensitive. I see less than .5 fps per degree. It will work quite well in your 6.5.

If you don’t get greedy for speed as above it’s not bad.

Right on. Thanks for responses so far. Will be loading this with 123SMK. I’d like something else’s but since this is available I might grab it

I use it for 185 juggernauts and 208 eld-m in my .308. Suprising velocity through a bartlein tube and its a very clean burning powder.

40.5 of RL 17 under a 147 is money out of a heavy barrel 24". She gets pissy when its hot outside. So, buy a good amount and expect to have a load for summer and maybe one for winter depending on how exacting you want your velocities to be.
