I am kinda confused after doing a small bit of testing today. I have been shooting 147 elds with 47.7 grains of RL26 and it’s been a great load for me. I thought I would give 140 ELDs a chance. I started with the same powder charge because most of the info I had read said that works good. That didn’t work out so well as I had a pretty sticky bolt. The accuracy was there but it was too hot. I dropped to 47.5 and it was still accurate yet still too hot. I dropped to 47.3 and I lost the accuracy node but the pressure signs were gone. I had my brake on the rifle and I couldn’t get the magnetospeed to read with it on there. Does anyone have a favorite recipe for the 140 ELD using RL26?
