Gunsmithing Rossi Ranch Hand Barrel Removal?

I know the barrel is threaded in, but do I need to cut a flat on the barrel to get it off? I know its torqued on good cuz I put a oxy torch to it, but my flat jaw pliers just don't give me the torque I need to get it off.
