Posting this up and hoping someone knows why this is happening. I'll try to explain it best I can...I have several new MDT mags. These mags work flawlessly with either 6.5 or 6mm Creedmoor. However, when I run this mags in my 308, there is an issue. What's happening is on a loaded mag, when I chamber the first round, it pushes the round under it forward as the first one enters the chamber. This, in turn, does not allow the next round to come up for a follow up shot. It's nose diving in the mag. If I free the round, chamber it, the following round will do the same exact thing. Now this .308 is not a rifle I use for any sort of comps, so it's not a major issue because I have several Accurate Mags that do not have this issue with the .308. Honestly, I'm just curious as to why this is happening only with the MDT mags. I don't wanna go messing with the lips on the mags because as stated, they work flawlessly with my other calibers. Just looking for a possible cause of this, and maybe a solution if it does not involve tinkering with the lips on the mag. The stock is a Manners Mini Chassis set up. Any information is appreciated. Thanks

It’s a 700. Not catching on the lip as it’s been clipped. I talked to MDT and they said it’s common with the 700 bolt in a non binder plate mag due to the bolt dragging or something. I don’t know really what he was referencing. I’ll just run the Accurate Mags in it as they work fine. Not gonna start messing with the MDT mags as they feed like new money with my 6.5 and 6.

Can you tighten the backs of the feed lips a bit?
Na. Not messing with the MDT as mentioned above. They feed so smooth, I almost question if a round was picked up or not when the bolt is run. Will just continue to use the Accurate Mags. After speaking with MDT, I’m in agreement that it is the bolt that’s the issue. As mentioned, no issues with 6.5 or 6 creed from a Big Horn or Defiance.
