Anyone know where there is one in stock? I’ve already got a anvil30 head just need the tripod and coming up empty. I don’t have time to back order one, replacing a reaper rest and got a hunt coming up.

We don't have one in stock right now, but have a couple on order. Unfortuantly no idea when they will ship...

Thermal Optics had a bunch in stock for a while but finally sold out a few weeks ago. The RRS die hards will essentially tell you to skip your hunting trip and wait for one indefinitely because there are no other tripods.
But yes there are plenty of viable options for the trip.

Thanks Fred and 021411. Still holding out hope I’ll run across one…I’ve got a reaper rest/manfrotto combo I can use until one pops up. Really like the inverted leg idea, we’ll see…2Vets seem to have almost everything in stock.

There was a team from NM running one at the last NRL Hunter match I shot. The only problem they complained about was that on their the twist locks on the legs are opposite direction - so lefty tighty - righty loosy - which can be very confusing if you swap between tripods with different style twist locks. I don't know if they are still that way or not, but will find out once we have them in stock.

For shooting/hunting I think the height would be about perfect on the 2 leg version since I don't often stand to shoot. I do stand when glassing, but could easily kneel most of the time as well instead, and the speed of deployment is pretty impressive, and it seems more stable than a 3 leg setup.

That’s one thing I don’t like about the reaper, stupid left handed thread. Watching the video on the RRS page it doesn’t look like they are backwards but that’s would be good to know. Thanks again, Fred.

I think you can see the direction in the video from RRS here, if you watch when he manipulates the legs. It is really nice that the inverted legs mean the twist locks are high, which means a LOT less twist manipulation...

The 2 Vets has the twist on the bottom, so ergonomically its retarded.

Wait for the 22I, its worth every penny.

I have the leofoto 362c, similar inverted 36/40mm leg setup. The twist locks are upside down to conventional tripods, as the legs are essentially upside down so they're in reverse twist fashion, with thicker section on bottom vs top. Its a decent tripod at the much discounted price. Is it as stable as a RRS 2 section? No I've compared them. It's mainly used for rear support where quick deployment is biggest advantage, and it works well for that. I've used it kneeling to engage targets at 6-700y in matches without issue locked into the anvil.
