RRS leveling base with SC-LR?

Is the TA-U-LC leveling base compatible with the SC LR lever release clamp?

436 grams if compatible together, VS Anvil 30 (391g) with the type 3 base is probably damn close.

$425 for the TA-U-LC with SC-LR
$408 for Anvil 30 w/ #3 platform adapter

Thoughts?

So it looks like the SCLR (user manual) states the bottom hole is threaded for a 3/8-16. and the TA-3 base has a 3/8-16 stud. So in theory this would work I think...

Also looking at the universal level base, looks like the same applies, I think the SC-LR would also work for it?

I also saw in the SC-LR user manual that it is threaded for 3/8-16. But under the Specs tab for the SC-LR it states Center Hole Not Threaded, hence my confusion. Am I looking at this wrong?

The leveling bases take a clamp that is secured with 4 screws vs a single center screw. I was told there is one in the works but release date was unknown...might be a Shot Show surprise, we will see. If you go the the SOAR site and look at the “top view” of the leveling base you will see what I’m speaking of.

I went ahead and just purchased the Anvil 30 and I'll just wait until its back in stock haha.

Sorry we were on holiday break and I haven't been keeping up as I usually do.

So a few answers:
-The SC-LR will go atop all of the leveling bases that have a platform and 3/8" center post. It will not go to the versions with the lever release clamp already
-Attaching the SC-LR in this fashion isn't a great i dea since there are so few threads we didn't even list it as being threaded, it will separate/loosen-up immediately if the wrong tension is applied.
-We are still designing a new clamp that can replace all the leveling bases we have made past/present that will have both features. Still no time for it. No it is not coming out at SHOT Show, Promise.
-The easiest thing to do in the mean time is purchase a NATO Dovetail for your picatinny needs and you will not have to worry about it loosening or having other issues.

Couple questions as I was think about getting TA3 and adding either one of the new pic/dovetail clamps.
1. I thought all of the TA3’s came with a lever clamp were attached via a center bolt. Are there 2 versions?
2. Will the old TA3’s be upgradable to this new clamp when it comes out?
