Î was recently in a large protest- riot that when bad. The military brought in tear gas and ruber bullets and buckshot and the real stuff if required I have heard and seen rubber bullets but never buckshot. The people who got shot had mostly bruises on their bodies other than that nothing serious. How long has this type of buckshot been used. Sounds like a better safer defence way then using the real thing for home protection

Re: Rubber Buckshot

And what, pray tell, were you doing in a 'large protest-riot', let alone one that 'went bad'? And no, rubber buckshot is not a good idea for home defense. You want to instantly disable or kill the invader, not give them bruises.

Good day,

Legally, you're just trying to stop them from what they were doing. Never, ever say you were trying to kill them. Prosecution lawyers will have a wonderful time if you say you are trying to kill them.

i like the idea of less than lethal in a shotty. but believe me after that less than lethal shot .....intruder beware cause follow up is going to do more than bruise!

ive heard that some of these lessthan's have issues in semi's and best left for pumps.

i've been looking to buy some but they never show up at the "fun shows"

im thinking legally ......he got warning less than lethal shot....

Re: Rubber Buckshot

After you wound the intruder with the real deal, you cauterize the wound with a torch, then break out the rubber buckshot. It helps to get the personal info out of them such as bank accounts and PIN codes.

Re: Rubber Buckshot

A perp with a functioning trigger finger is still a lethal threat. The only LTL ammo I could ever have a warm fuzzy about is the one that will blow off both of the perp's arms.

My philosophy is to make sure the rate of recidivism for invading my home is ZERO.

Re: Rubber Buckshot

That's is a bad idea and it says you live in Maine on your profile so that is an even worse idea there.I'm sure it gets really cold up there, so the odds of someone wearing a heavy jacket are good.if someone was wearing a heavy jacket or other heavy cloths you might just sting them a little. If you are worried about legal stuff I'm sure you would rather be judged by 12 than carried by six.if someone breaks into your home while you are home they have crossed the point of a normal smash and grab criminal, they will do what it takes to get what they want.

Re: Rubber Buckshot

Hi 911fan,

Sorry for so long in getting back to with your question on where the demonstration took place I have been in Costa Rica and internet service has been spotty.

It was in the Dominican Republic where it hapened. There were around 1500 in the demonstration. The military realy brought it under control in a hurry. I had heard and seen of rubber bullets but rubber buckshot was something new to me. It is definately effective
