Have you all noticed people getting more rude with each other? I'm a low key sort or at least I keep to my self and tread lightly. Can't recall the last time I had a real conflict with anyone. Granted I'm approaching 60, and not a partier.

I'm not a big guy but I'm still in shape. So not intimidating by any means but not a dottering old man (yet) I've had two conflicts in the past month that could have escalated if I had allowed them to. Both with total strangers out and about about stupid shit. I was in LE at one time so I understand how to deal with angry and or crazy people and I can handle myself ok so I don't get intimidated by the average Joe. But it concerns me that we as a people are starting to get short and are looking for avenues to vent it. I hate the times we are in.

I travel a lot as a Field Service pro and have met many people and interacted with them for 47 years. Everyone seems to be on edge and angry/combative now.

Never seen it like this in my Life. America seems full of Hate and mistrust....there is no trust left between strangers.

    VooDoo

add "its" to the last 5 words of your post and you have your answer..."its the times we are in"!!
uncertainty causes fear....anger and aggression are responses to fear and with all the stupid shit going on right now...well you get it.

I haven't seen this at all... then again, I moved from NY to NC a few years ago. When I moved here I'd walk down the street and people I didn't know would say hello and wave. I spent about two years looking over my shoulder try to figure out who the hell they were talking to. People hold doors, say "excuse me" and "thank you" all the time. It's wild. I can even leave my door unlocked.

If you want to see how rude people can get, take a two day trip to NYC. Any more than two days and the rudeness might start to rub off on you.

    LMAO....aint that the truth!!

Especially on the highways. The 4 lane divided (Not limited access) road I live off of is posted 55 and in places 60 mph. If your not driving 705e interstate. Even littole olfd ladies think that steel cage makes them...Josey Wales.

Its gotten so I hate to drive.

Lots of anger out there. No consequences to keep it in check. People feel empowered to give their opinion because they can, not thinking whether they should... The times we live in...God help us

Too late fo dat,, dat sum bitch be lookin the other way. Ya'lls be'z on yo owns.

The year 2020 has been a shit show.
People are uneasy and it shows.
But we haven’t seen anything yet.
2021 will probably make 2020 look like it was smooth sailing.

Instead of getting angry on the highway as the person is driving 40 in the fast lane trying to stop time itself , I use it to practice my side drafting and passing technics. They never move to the right to let you pass, when you side draft them a inch from their fenders they always jerk the wheel left for some strange reason and its amusing to watch their reactions in the rear view mirror. The flashing headlight ,middle fingers and hands waling always fun to watch.

We are polarized to the point that many have lost the ability to disagree politely, or respect others that see issues from another perspective. I fear that fairly recent dynamic in our current version of America ... may be what ultimately ends this democratic experiment. I hope I'm wrong.

    Everywhere

I was at DIA two trips ago and trust me, the airports especially security are 3/4 empty compared to last year.

I have a Premier account which is next to PreTSA and Clear, so this guy in front of me walks down an empty aisle there one girl in front of him in the first TSA slot and they head off to the right.

because of “social distancing” he hangs back a bit then I walk around him to station 2 and he confronts me about cutting the line. When this happened the girl in front of him already walked through and I had to show him he had an empty station in front of him.

people just want a reason to fight.

I hate the people in airports now more than ever.

I have noticed over the past 2 months, traffic has gotten way more aggressive and dangerous for no real reason.
Lots of folks seem to be driving as if they hate everybody and want to act it out on the road.

Everywhere. People aren’t happy anymore in their own family functions anymore either and I think this has a lot to do with it as well. I’m not sure how we get back to a good spot.

I-76 they do it constantly on that road and there is like 3 spots with hills and they do it there for 5 + miles If you catch them wrong

Believe it or nuts Ive seen it for 20 miles on I 81 north of Roanoke Virginia. Its a narrow, winding, hilly, stretch of interstate and heavy trucks headed for DC, Baltimore, Philly, and NYC. Sunday evenings when they are all trying to be first into their city Monday morning. Its a total suicide ride.

From my perspective tolerating others really started downhill when Obama came into office and began implementation of the divisiveness we're experiencing now....... All while preaching transparency and equality.

Be the change you want to see . Just keep on keeping up with your good manners , politeness , smiles and acts of kindness . Somebody may really need it . I'll bet a lot of people are ready to crack . I cracked along time ago , I'm good .

Just passed them at a reasonable speed get in front of them and then let off the gas. Most of the time people move. The times they don't keep going until you stop the quick flashes on and just sit there.

It's not just the times were in. Those times were specifically created for chaos. It goes back to Obama. Remember when he said he was going to fundamentally change this country?

Before Obama we got along. We can have debates with people that we disagree with and it was just pretty much most of us getting along. Obama did more to divide this country than anyone else in history. He weaponized the media turn people against police and turn people against each other. Unfortunately, most people don't have the intellect to see it nor the memory to remember that far back.

The only way to fix it is to take control of the media. We need to get back to Media attacking each other for not reporting accurately. Take control of social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter..

At this point most social medias intent is crystal clear, despite the clown world testimony.

Second, life is too short to suffer fools.

Everyone I know that moved here from NC and NJ is a diehard gun toting, bourbon swilling conservative. Believe it or not, most of NYswings right. It’s the goddamn city that screws the rest of the state. There’s just too many people in that shithole.

Im saw a lot of Biden signs in the older parts of town and comparatively less in new developments. Didn’t see that coming.

If I move again it’ll be outside of Nc. From what I’ve seen, there are a lot of conservatives moving in to get away from the socialist push. Big corps settling here are bringing new grads and liberals, which is whats fucking things up... especially in the banking sector.

Yeah the banking sector in Charlotte and the tech in Raleigh where I am. It’s not just NYers either. The calicomunists are ruining it too. And yeah you get outside of NYC and it’s a whole different state.

As a former resident of western NY, I will pass on going to NYC. I prefer not getting mugged and don’t like the smell of urine on everything. You’re right though, about 90% of the rude people in NY are in the city. The other ten percent hang out in Albany.

I have found it gets worse the further into the city I go. No big surprise there. People even seem to be driving much more aggressively too. Someone lost it and tried to run my pregnant wife and I off the road the other night, then got in front of us and stood on the brakes. Completely unprovoked.

It is because of the me me me attitude. People getting pissed because they are not getting their way.

    Hahahahaha!
Good lord Frank, I'd kill to see I-75 with that little bit of traffic.
Might be possible at 0200hrs, but unlikely.

We've got 4 lanes per side and everyone running 80-90 and we still have those stupid fuckers that cut across 4 lanes to drive 67 in a 70 zone while everyone else thinks it's the Daytona 500.

Don't even get me started about I-4 east bound going to Mouse land. 😡😡😡
