I generally like all of rugers products but I never have liked the scout concept. Add the relatively high price point and I'm a bit deterred. I had a mini 14 and hated the fact the the scope rings were proprietary. It greatly reduced the.options of eye relief you could run. While this.is.scout by design I think it.has proprietary. Scope rings also. I may be wrong tho. Id.like to try one out tho
